J.Pihlajamäki Oy is a training and consulting company based in Turku, offering services across Finland. Cap Directive for professional driver 

Transport ja logistic sector

Directive training is required for truck, and bus drivers under Finnish law. Drivers must maintain their professional qualifications through continuing education every five years. This training aims to ensure that transportation services are safe and environmentally friendly.

Defensive Driving Training

This course provides insights into the importance of defensive driving with heavy vehicles. It allows participants to share experiences and learn how to ensure both their own and others' safety on the road. The training covers principles of road safety and economical driving. It meets the requirements for continuing education under the professional competence directive.

Digital Tachograph Use, Measurements, and Weights Training 

The digital tachograph system aims to improve road safety, ensure fair competition among different transport companies, and enhance drivers' working conditions. Digital tachographs are mandatory across all EU countries and AETR member states, including Russia. This training focuses on proper usage and compliance with these regulations.

First Aid Training

This course enhances drivers' first aid readiness, providing essential skills and knowledge for responding to accidents and medical emergencies. Participants will learn life-saving first aid techniques and how to assist in medical incidents.

All EFR (Emergency First Response) training by J. Pihlajamäki Oy includes a certified first aid card, recognized internationally.

Occupational Safety card Training

This training offers the opportunity to combine two courses in one: Occupational Safety card training and the driver's professional competence certification. It is designed primarily for industrial workplaces but is also suitable for the construction industry, public sector, and shipyards.

Forklift Driver Safety Training

This training allows you to combine forklift certification with the driver's professional competence certification. The content and duration can be customized to meet the specific needs of the company. Upon successful completion, participants receive course materials, a certificate, and a driving license (forklift card).

Traffic Safety Training 1 & 2

The Tieturva training program, established by the Finnish Transport Agency, ensures that workers on roads are educated on the traffic hazards they may encounter. It is a mandatory certification for anyone working on public roads.

Temperature-Controlled Food Transport

Food safety and quality are crucial for everyone. Daily operations require knowledge and skills to ensure proper handling of food and maintain its quality. This training covers the unique aspects of temperature-controlled food transportation.

Clean Water Tank Transport

This training focuses on the processes and methods involved in transporting clean drinking water, including the required hygiene standards for equipment and storage. It also covers communication and information flow in different work environments. After the course, participants can take a water hygiene competency test, and those who pass will receive a water work card.

Vehicle Fire Training

• Goal 1: Understand the risks related to traffic and worksite incidents.
• Goal 2: Be able to assess emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Goal 3: Act in a manner that supports the company’s image.

This training helps prepare workers for fire emergencies and ensures proper behavior in critical situations.

Water Work Card

Pool Water Hygiene:  This training covers facility technology and pool water treatment in swimming pools, as well as the key aspects of building services.

Drinking Water Hygiene: We offer training in water facility technology and water hygiene, including competency testing.

Environmental Safety Card Training

This training is for anyone interested in a company's environmental responsibility within its operational chain. The program is industry-independent and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each company.

Social and Healthcare Safety Card Training

This training is for anyone working in the social and healthcare sectors. It lasts one workday (approximately 8 hours) and covers topics such as safety development theory, teamwork, and optional practical exercises. The training also provides materials like action guidelines and checklists to enhance workplace safety.

Social and Healthcare Safety Card Training

This training is for anyone working in the social and healthcare sectors. It lasts one workday (approximately 8 hours) and covers topics such as safety development theory, teamwork, and optional practical exercises. The training also provides materials like action guidelines and checklists to enhance workplace safety.

Basic Firefighting Training, AS1

This course focuses on acquiring basic firefighting skills, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, including fire characteristics, the importance of early firefighting, and the use of equipment like fire extinguishers and blankets. Participants will also engage in hands-on practice. The hot work certificate is valid for 5 years.

Hot Work Card

When working at a temporary fire site, workers must hold a valid hot work card, which is valid for 5 years. A hot work card issued in Finland is valid in Nordic countries, and similarly, hot work cards issued in other Nordic countries are accepted in Finland. Hot work attendants must undergo the required safety training, and it is recommended they hold a valid hot work card. Roof fire workers must also possess a valid roof fire work card.

Diisocyanates training

The training covers what diisocyanates are, why they are dangerous, and the effects of exposure. It also addresses how to reduce or prevent exposure to this hazardous chemical. Safety training is mandatory for everyone handling diisocyanates. This includes individuals handling the chemical in its pure form or in mixtures, as well as those supervising these tasks. Handlers and supervisors must have successfully completed diisocyanate training (effective from August 24, 2023)
